The Ride for Heart and Manulife partnership was designed to raise funds for Heart & Stroke, but there was an opportunity to make the cause feel more tangible to everyone.
At the centre of the event, we built Heart Park, where stationary bikes powered 3D printers. Every pedal helped create a healthy heart, making visible the idea that every effort—no matter how small—can power life-saving research. The simple, interactive experience gave everyone a way to see their collective impact firsthand. Surrounding the space, survivor stories from across Canada added a deeply human layer, giving the cause a personal face and connecting the experience to the lives it could help change.
That sense of connection began well before event day, with Manulife employees rallying together around the cause and turning individual participation into a shared community. On the day itself, a broad ecosystem of communications carried that spirit throughout the experience—encouragement signage and banners from start to the finish line motivated participants and reinforced the difference their contributions could make: Every pedal counts.
